Charge Air Cooler Temperature Sensor Circuit High
The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) continuously monitors the Charge Air Cooler Temperature (CACT) circuit for concerns. The test fails when the temperature is lower than the calibrated value for the sensor or an open or short to voltage is detected in the circuit.
Cause:
Damaged Turbocharger Boost Pressure (TCBP)/Charge Air Cooler Temperature (CACT) sensor
CACT circuit open or short to voltage
SIGRTN circuit open
Output from the charge air cooler (CAC) is colder than the calibrated threshold
Symptoms:
Check engine light
