Cylinder 8 Contribution/Balance

Code P0284 is triggered when the Engine Control Module (ECM) detects that the acceleration rate of the crankshaft for Cylinder 8 was less than a calibrated amount. During normal conditions, the ECM turns the Fuel Injectors ON and OFF in the Fuel Injection System.

Cause:
Dirty Fuel Injector 8
Faulty Fuel Injector 8
Plugged Fuel Injector 8
Fuel injector 8 harness is open or shorted
Fuel injector 8 circuit poor electrical connection

Symptoms:
Check engine light
Engine Misfire
Engine Run Rough
Low MPG
