Fuel Cap Sensor/Switch Circuit Intermittent/Erratic

The Engine Control Module (ECM) monitors the Fuel Cap Sensor/Switch. The OBDII code is set when the Fuel Cap Sensor/Switch circuit is out of factory specifications.

Cause:
Faulty Fuel Cap Sensor/Switch
Fuel Cap Sensor/Switch harness is open or shorted
Fuel Cap Sensor/Switch circuit poor electrical connection

Symptoms:
Check engine light
