Exhaust Temperature Too Low For Particulate Filter Regeneration

The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) monitors the conditions necessary for diesel particulate filter regeneration. The test fails when the level of diesel particulate filter regeneration is at less than 10% of the target reduction after 13 minutes of active regeneration.

Cause:
Fuel system concerns
Turbocharger system concern
Exhaust leaks
Oxidation catalytic converter (OC)
Aftermarket exhaust accessories or performance modifications
